CNS Email Password: A dedicated password specifically for sending and receiving CNS emails.
1. Forced Reset of CNS Login Passwords
To prevent unauthorized access, all CNS account login passwords will be forcibly reset at the time mentioned above. All CNS services will become unavailable.
Please immediately follow the steps in "3. Procedure for Resetting Your Password."
2. Those Affected by This Measure
-
All SFC-CNS users (including sub-account users)
Excluding those who changed their CNS login password during the following period:

3. Procedure for Resetting Your CNS Login Password
If you are unable to log in to CNS services after the reset, please reconfigure your password using the following steps. The procedure differs depending on whether you have a keio.jp account.
The temporary password is valid until Monday, February 9, 2026.
After this period, the temporary password will no longer be usable.
A. If you have a keio.jp account (Students, Faculty, Staff, etc.)

- Click "Details" in the "SFC-CNS Password" column under the list of available licenses.
For users who have already reset their passwords between November 28, 2025, 12:00 a.m. and December 25, 12:00 p.m., this notification itself will not be displayed. - Make a note of the displayed temporary password.
-
Access the following site, log in with the temporary password obtained in step 3, and register a new "CNS Login Password".
At that time, never set the same password as your previous one. There is a risk of compromise.
[SFC-CNS Settings]
B. If you do not have a keio.jp account
-
In Person: Please come to the Shonan Fujisawa KIC office with your ID card.
Refer to this link (https://www.sfc.itc.keio.ac.jp/en/contact_sfc.html) for the office location and hours. - By Mail (Only SFC Institute Researchers): We will mail temporary passwords to your home or registered address in order. Once received, use the temporary password to set your new "CNS Login Password" via the site above.
4. Regarding Password Settings and Prevention of Secondary Damage
-
Do not use the same password as before:
Considering the possibility of leakage, please avoid using the same password or easily guessable patterns. -
Do not reuse passwords across different services:
If you use the same string as your CNS password or CNS email password for your keio.jp password or other external services (SNS, banking, etc.), we strongly recommend changing them immediately.
-
Use MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication):
Please consider setting up MFA for keio.jp. If MFA is enabled, you can minimize damage even if your password is compromised.
