Changing from certificate based authentication to ID - password based authentication

Certificate deletion

The certificate for keiomobile2 expires on April 10 at the beginning of the new academic year.

If you installed the certificate under the keiomobile2 (authentication by certificate) setting in the preceding year, to continue to use wireless LAN/WiFi service this year, you have to delete the preceding year’s certificate.
After deleting the preceding year’s certificate, please change the setting of keiomobile2 (ID - password based authentication)

If you did not set the connection for certificate based authentication in the preceding year, you do not need to delete the certificate.

Deleting or changing setting of certificate (example of setting for each OS)

Deleting or changing setting of certificate of iPad & iPhone & iPod touch

  1. Open [Setting]


  2. When [Setting] is displayed, open [General] - [Profile].


  3. You have [Certificate for your own keio.jp ID] so please delete it.


  4. Tap the [i] beside [WiFi] - [keiomobile2].


  5. Because the setting of keiomobile2 is displayed, tap [Delete this network setting], then turn [WiFi] to [OFF].
    Even if [Delete this network setting] is not displayed, after setting [WiFi] to [OFF], make the following setting.


  6. After deleting the certificate, set ID - password based authentication by the following two procedures.

    1. WiFi connection password issued (when using keio.jp)
      WiFi connection password issued (when using an ITC account)

    2.  Password connection to keiomobile2 (iPad, iPhone)

Deleting or changing setting of certificate of Android

  1. It is not necessary to delete certificate.

    Set ID - password based authentication by the following two procedures.

    1. WiFi connection password issued (when using keio.jp)
      WiFi connection password issued (when using an ITC account)

    2.  Password connection to keiomobile2 (Andriod 4 for Nexus 7)

Deleting or changing setting of certificate of Mac OS X 10.8 or later version

  1. Open [Move] - [Utility].


  2. When [Utility] is displayed, open [Key Chain Access].


  3. When [Key Chain Access] is displayed, [Certificate for your own keio.jp ID] is in [Login] - [Your own certificate], so please delete it.


  4. Open [Open "network" environment setting] - [Details].


  5. After selecting [Keiomobile2] from the networks you have used, click [-] and delete [keiomobile2].
    After deletion, restart your PC.


  6. After deletion of the certificate, set ID - password authentication based authentication by the following two procedures.

    1. WiFi connection password issued (when using keio.jp)
      WiFi connection password issued (when using an ITC account)

    2.  Password connection to keiomobile2 (Mac OS X 10.8)

Deleting or changing setting of certificate of Windows 10 / Windows 8.1 / Windows 7

  1. Windows 10: [Windows Key] + [Search Web and Windows] - enter "certmgr.msc".
    Windows 8.1: [Windows Key] + [R key] - [Run] - enter "certmgr.msc".
    Windows 7: [Start] - [Search programs and files] - enter "certmgr.msc".


  2. When [certmgr] is displayed, [Certificate for your own keio.jp ID] is in [Certificate - present user] - [Personal] - [Certificate], so please delete it.


  3. Windows 10: Select [All applications] - [Windows System Tools] - [Command prompt] - [Right click - run as an administrator].
    Windows 8.1: Select [Win] key + [X] key - [Command prompt (Administrator)]
    Windows 7: Select [Start] - [All programs] - [Accessory] - [Command prompt] - [Right click - run as an administrator].

  4. Administrator: When the Command Prompt Window is displayed, enter " netsh wlan show profiles ", then press the [Enter] key. Check that keiomobile2 is displayed.

  5. Enter "netsh wlan delete profile name="keiomobile2"" and press the [Enter] key.

  6. Again enter "netsh wlan show profile" and check to make sure that the profile is deleted.
  7. After deleting the certificate, if you set by ID - password based authentication method, follow two procedures below.

    1. WiFi connection password issued (when using keio.jp)
      WiFi connection password issued (when using an ITC account)

    2.  Password connection to keiomobile2 (Windows 10/ Windows 8.1/ Windows 7)
